Monster category
Monster categories are a property of monsters that separates them based on their tags. Some monster categories are used to populate maps with specific features. Additionally, items or passive skills may also care about specific monster categories or monster types.
Monster types are a more specific sub-category which groups monsters with similar properties or looks.
Certain items or passives may allow players to see a monster's monstery category. Monsters belonging to more than one category have a designated primary monster category displayed.
