Persistent skills
Resumo
Persistent Skills are toggled in the Skills Panel instead of being used normally and often need to Reserve Spirit in order to be activated.

Persistent is used to describe buffs or effects that remain active indefinitely until they are manually deactivated or the required resource is depleted. These often take the form of auras or sustained buffs, which continuously consume a portion of Spirit to remain active. Unlike temporary buffs (which may have a duration and cooldown), persistent buffs are ongoing and do not expire as long as their conditions are maintained.

For instance, skills like Arctic Armour create effects that continuously grant defensive benefits. Persistent Minions, such as Skeletal WarriorSkeletal WarriorMinion, Persistent

Sockets are found in the Skills menu tab.
, also use Spirit to stay active, respawning automatically after death.

Activating Persistent Skills

Persistent skills need to be activated in the Skills panel:

  1. Learn the desired persistent skill by cutting an appropriate level Module Error: No results found for item using search term "item_name = Uncut Spirit Gem"
  2. Add the learned skill to a slot within the skills panel
  3. Still within the skills panel, right-click the desired persistent skill icon (in the row next to the skill name) to activate or de-activate the skill

Most persistent skills operation continuously or automatically and thus cannot be added to the skill bar. Some persistent skills, such as Invocation or Banner skills, have an active component. They still need to be toggled on as above in the Skills panel, but this will only cause them to start building up a resource (Energy for invocations, Valour for banners). They still need to be added to the skill bar and activated like normal skills, spending their collected resource.

Spirit Requirements

  • You must have enough free spirit to activate the persistent skill. Hovering over the persistent skill gem will indicate how much spirit is required.
  • Some support gems for persistent skills have an additional Spirit cost. You must have the full amount of spirit available, or the persistent skill cannot be activated. If you have only enough spirit to cover the requirement for the persistent skill but not the support gem, then you must remove the support gem to allow the persistent skill to be activated.
