Contagion is an AoE Chaos Duration Spell Skill that applies a spreading Chaos Damage over time Debuff. Enemies killed while having the debuff will spread Contagion and any other Chaos damage over time debuffs on them to nearby enemies.

Skill functions and interactions

Enemies that are affected by the Damage over time Debuff of Essence Drain seem to be prioritized targets when casting Contagion. Upon death, enemies affected by Contagion spread Curses in addition to Damage over time Debuffs. This is especially effective with Despair as it reduces enemy Chaos Resistance.
